About Emelia

Emelia Cillié-Gilson studied art with David Botha, Suzette Laten & M.E. Schler, whom she joined in running their own Art School Art for All. In 1999 Emelia received approval from the Department of Art & Culture to teach art. During that period, Art for All focused on teaching art and giving workshops in rural areas. Emelia also taught art on a full-time base at Brackenfell Primary School during 2003. She love mixed medium, bright colors & texture.

She is acknowledged in the book "The Collectors Guide to Art & Artists in South Africa. Her work are well received in Europe & South Africa. In 2000 she received an A.T.K.V. award for promoting Art. She teaches art to adults & children and her young students received various art awards.
